The El Dorado County Office of Education is committed to educational excellence in El Dorado County's public schools and educational programs. Visit their website at www.edcoe.org "I believe that we benefit as much, if not more from what we contribute through our partnership with EDC2. Part of the mission of K-12 education is to ensure that we are preparing students for the world of work. In order to do that adequately, we need to ensure that we are connected with the business community and understand the changing needs of career/technical enterprises. In addition, providing opportunities for students to intern and/or experience shadowing experiences, allows them to expand their awareness of career choices. These opportunities are certainly enhanced through connections between K-12 and the business community which are fostered through EDC2. " - Dr. Vicki Barber, County Superintendent of Schools
