The Business Resource Center (BRC) is designed by the El Dorado County Chamber of Commerce to assist small business and entrepreneurs in starting, operating, and expanding their businesses. The BRC offers many resources to the small business owner or entrepreneur for free. Some services such as seminars and classes require a small fee due to the quality of the teachers and speakers.

The El Dorado County Chamber of Commerce operates the BRC with collaborative partners: El Dorado County Office of Economic Development, Golden Sierra Job Training, Connections, Small Business Administration, Employment Development Department, Department of Social Service Employment Services and Experience Works. The BRC is here to help and support entrepreneurs and small business in El Dorado County.

The BRC offers an online catalog of books, videos, workbooks, and other material in its library of business material.

Free Business Consulting at EDC Chamber through SBDC

Small Business Development Centers (SBDCs) provide assistance to small businesses and aspiring entrepreneurs throughout the United States and its territories. SBDCs help entrepreneurs realize the dream of business ownership and help existing businesses remain competitive in a complex, ever-changing global marketplace. SBDCs are hosted by leading universities and state economic development agencies, and funded in part through a partnership with SBA.

SBDC advisors provide aspiring and current small business owners a variety of free business consulting and low-cost training services including: business plan development, manufacturing assistance, financial packaging and lending assistance, exporting and importing support, disaster recovery assistance, procurement and contracting aid, market research help, 8(a) program support, and healthcare guidance.

Our consulting services are offered free of charge and your information is completely confidential. The Capital Region SBDC has experienced and knowledgeable Business Advisors who are uniquely qualified to assist small businesses in creating an effective strategy, discover ways to generate revenue and grow your bottom line.
